Deciding what to put on the menu for Christmas time can be a challenge. Although we want to have the all time favorites we sometimes want to mix things up a bit and try something different.
Turkey is high in some essential amino acids that are heavily involved in relaxation, which some of us can use around this time of year.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup oat bran
500g turkey mince
1 large egg
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon pink salt
1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander
3 spring onions, chopped
3 tablespoon tamari
2 teaspoon sesame oil
For the Dipping Sauce:
3 tablespoon GM free soy sauce or tamari
1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil
1 ½ tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 ½ tablespoon water
1 tablespoon chopped spring onion
Directions
In a large bowl combine the turkey, oat bran, egg, salt, spring onions, garlic, ginger, coriander, tamari, salt and sesame oil. Gently mix with your hands until combined well. Shape meatballs and refrigerate for an hour, roll in additional oat bran if you fancy.
Heat frypan with ghee, cook over a medium heat until brown on all sides.
Put all sauce ingredients in a jar and shake vigorously to combine.
